When I read about Paul praying three times that God would take a thorn out of his flesh, it made me think about Jesus praying three times in the Garden of Gethsemane. “Father, if it be possible, take this cup from Me.” God did not take the cup from Him, and our salvation hinges on the fact that Jesus accepted the Father’s answer. When Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, an angel came and strengthened Him (Luke 22:43). And when Paul prayed, God gave Him a particular promise: “My grace is sufficient
